Hertz - frequently asked questions
Here we answer the questions people ask most often about Hertz - from voucher codes to the vehicles and pick-up points on offer.
How do I use a Hertz voucher code?
Choose your pick-up location, dates and vehicle on the Hertz website, then enter the voucher code in the relevant field before you confirm the booking. Check that the price updates before you pay.
Can I hire a van from Hertz?
Yes. As well as cars, Hertz offers van hire through its UK website, which is useful for moving house, collecting large items or other jobs a car cannot handle.
Can I collect a Hertz car at a UK airport?
Yes. Hertz has pick-up points at UK airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and London City, so you can collect a car as soon as you land.
Tips for using a Hertz voucher code
Enter your Hertz voucher code during the online booking, before you confirm and pay, and check that the quoted price changes. Read the code's terms first, as an offer may only cover certain vehicle types, locations or rental dates, and it usually cannot be added once the booking is complete.
How to save at Hertz
Adding a Hertz voucher code to your booking is the simplest way to lower the cost of a rental. Comparing different vehicle types for the same dates can also make a difference, since a smaller car often costs less than an SUV or luxury model. Booking online ahead of your trip gives you time to compare pick-up locations and choose the option that suits your budget.
