Matalan - frequently asked questions
Here we answer the questions people ask most often about Matalan - from voucher codes to rewards, gift cards and stores.
How do I use a Matalan voucher code?
Add your items to the basket and go to the checkout. Enter the voucher code in the promo code box before you pay, and check that the discount appears in the order total.
What is Matalan Me?
Matalan Me is the Matalan rewards scheme. It is worth joining if you shop there regularly, and the website explains how membership works and what members receive.
Does Matalan sell gift cards?
Yes. Matalan sells gift cards, and they can also be used to pay for an order, which makes them a flexible present for someone who likes to choose their own clothes or homeware.
How do I find my nearest Matalan store?
Use the store locator on the Matalan website to find a store near you. It is handy if you want to use click and collect or return an item in person.
Tips for using a Matalan voucher code
Enter your Matalan voucher code in the promo code box at the checkout, then check the order summary to make sure the reduction has been applied before you pay. Read the terms of the code first, because an offer may need a minimum spend, leave out sale items or other brands, or work only online rather than in store.
How to save at Matalan
A Matalan voucher code at the checkout is the quickest way to cut the cost of an order. The sale section is worth checking before you pay full price, and standard delivery is free once your order passes £49.99. For smaller orders, click and collect is cheaper than home delivery, and standard collection is free on orders over £19.99.
Payment methods
Matalan accepts the following payment methods:
- Debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and Maestro)
- PayPal
- Apple Pay and Google Pay
- Klarna and Clearpay
- Gift cards
Delivery
Standard delivery takes about 5 days and costs £3.99, or is free on orders over £49.99. Next day delivery is £4.99 when you order by 10pm, though some Scottish and Northern Irish postcodes cannot get it. Click and collect costs £1.99 for next day, or £0.99 for standard collection, which is free on orders over £19.99.
Returns and cancellation rights
You have 28 days to return items, which should be unworn with their tags still attached. Returning an item in store is free, as is sending back a faulty one. Postal returns through Evri or InPost are booked with the online returns tool and paid for by you. Electricals and large home items are collected from you rather than taken back to a store.
More about Matalan
Matalan is run by Matalan Retail Limited, which has its headquarters in Knowsley, Merseyside, and trades from more than 270 stores alongside its website. The business covers a broad spread of everyday needs for the whole family: clothing and shoes for all ages, homeware, baby and nursery products, and school uniform. Most of the range is sold under the Matalan brand, with a selection of other brands stocked alongside it. The stores also act as click and collect points and take returns free of charge, which makes them a useful option for anyone who would rather not wait in for a delivery.
