About Nkuku
Nkuku is a home and lifestyle brand that designs everything it sells under its own name. The range covers furniture, lighting, kitchen and dining pieces, soft furnishings, home accessories, jewellery and Christmas decorations, with a focus on handcrafted items and ethical sourcing, and its sofas are made to order in the UK.
Nkuku - frequently asked questions
Here we answer the questions people ask most often about Nkuku - from voucher codes to gift lists, finance and visiting a shop.
How do I use a Nkuku voucher code?
Put the items you want in your basket and go through to the checkout. Type the voucher code into the discount field before paying, then check that the reduction appears in the order total.
Does Nkuku have a wedding gift list?
Yes. Couples can set up a wedding gift list with Nkuku, so guests can choose furniture, tableware or decorative pieces from the range that the couple have picked out themselves.
Can I pay for Nkuku furniture with finance?
Nkuku offers retail finance through V12 Retail Finance as a credit option, which can spread the cost of a larger purchase. It acts as a credit broker, so approval depends on the lender's checks.
Does Nkuku have physical shops?
Yes. As well as selling online, Nkuku runs its own shops, which are listed on the stores page of its website. They also accept returns of online orders when you bring a receipt.
Tips for using a Nkuku voucher code
Enter your Nkuku voucher code at the checkout before you confirm payment, and look at the order summary to make sure the discount has been taken off. Read the terms of the code first, because an offer may exclude made-to-order furniture or sale items, or need a minimum spend before it applies.
How to save at Nkuku
Using a Nkuku voucher code at the checkout is the quickest way to bring an order down. Signing up to the email newsletter brings a welcome discount, and the standing sale collection is worth a look before paying full price. Keep an eye on the small parcel surcharge on low-value orders, as grouping a few pieces into one basket can avoid it, and choosing standard or DPD Pickup delivery costs less than next day.
Delivery
Standard delivery takes 3-5 days, or you can send the parcel to a DPD Pickup shop. Next-day delivery is available when you order before 3pm, Sunday to Thursday. Orders below a low basket value carry a small parcel surcharge, and some postcodes cost extra. Furniture travels by specialist courier with tiered charges in 7-10 working days, while sofas take 10-12 weeks.
Returns and cancellation rights
You have 28 days from receiving your order to send items back. They need to be unused, in their original packaging and with labels still attached. Returns are arranged through the online returns portal, and you pay the cost of sending them back unless the item is faulty. Online orders can also be returned to a Nkuku shop if you have the receipt.
More about Nkuku
Nkuku is based in Dartington in Devon and holds B Corp certification, which reflects its attention to how products are made and sourced. Much of the range is handcrafted, and it is grouped into named collections that bring together furniture, lighting and accessories in a consistent style. Sofas are built to order in the UK, which explains their longer lead time. Alongside its website, Nkuku trades from its own shops, sells gift cards and runs a wedding gift list, and it offers retail finance for customers who would rather spread the cost of bigger purchases.
