TJ Hughes - frequently asked questions
Here we answer the questions people ask most often about TJ Hughes - from voucher codes to its high street stores and newsletter.
How do I use a TJ Hughes voucher code?
Put your items in the basket and go to the checkout. Type the voucher code into the discount field before you pay, then check that the reduction appears in the order total.
Does TJ Hughes have high street stores?
Yes. TJ Hughes trades from high street stores as well as online, and the store locator on its website shows where your nearest branch is.
Is there a TJ Hughes newsletter?
Yes. You can sign up to the TJ Hughes newsletter on the website, and subscribers are entered into a prize draw run by the store.
Tips for using a TJ Hughes voucher code
Enter your TJ Hughes voucher code at the checkout before you complete payment, and look at the order summary to confirm the discount has gone through. Read the terms of the code first, because it may need a minimum spend or leave out certain brands, and a code generally cannot be added after the order is placed.
How to save at TJ Hughes
A TJ Hughes voucher code is the quickest way to take money off an order, and the store already sells branded goods below their usual prices. Delivery is charged by the size of the item, so check the delivery cost at the checkout before buying bulky furniture or electricals. If there is a branch near you, it is worth comparing what is on the shelves there before ordering large items online.
Payment methods
TJ Hughes accepts the following payment methods:
- Debit and credit cards (Visa and Mastercard)
- American Express
- PayPal
- Klarna
- Apple Pay and Google Pay
- Shop Pay
Delivery
Delivery is priced by size. Small items cost £4.99 and take 3-5 working days, standard parcels cost £9.99 and take 7-10 days, large items cost between £14.99 and £29.99, and bulky items £49.99. Orders go to mainland UK only, and some Scottish postcodes and islands cannot receive the larger delivery sizes.
Returns and cancellation rights
You have 28 days from delivery to return an item. Start a return by emailing customer services, and expect to pay the return postage if you simply changed your mind. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 14 days of the return arriving. Online orders cannot be returned to a store, and hygiene items such as underwear, swimwear, cosmetics, bedding and jewellery are only accepted unopened.
More about TJ Hughes
TJ Hughes is a trading name of LHR Holding Ltd, which has its head office at Vortex Court on Enterprise Way in Liverpool. The business works as a discount department store, buying branded and designer products and selling them for less than their usual retail price. Shoppers can buy through the website or visit one of its high street stores, which the online store locator helps you find. The range is broad enough to furnish a home, with kitchen and garden goods sitting alongside electricals, fragrance, fashion and toys, and the Lewis's name appears among the brands on sale.
