Toolstation - frequently asked questions
Here we answer the questions people ask most often about Toolstation - from voucher codes to trade accounts and collecting in branch.
How do I use a Toolstation voucher code?
Add your products to the basket and go to the checkout. Type the voucher code into the promotion field before you pay, then check that the discount shows in the order total.
What is Toolstation Club?
Toolstation Club is the retailer's loyalty and discount scheme. Read the scheme's terms on the Toolstation website to see what membership involves and which discounts it gives before you join.
Can I open a Toolstation trade account?
Yes. Toolstation offers trade accounts, which suit tradespeople and businesses that buy tools and materials regularly. The website explains how to apply and what the account includes.
Can I collect a Toolstation order from a branch?
Yes. Click and collect lets you order online and pick up from a branch, and an order can be ready in as little as five minutes, which helps when a job cannot wait.
Tips for using a Toolstation voucher code
Enter your Toolstation voucher code at the checkout before you confirm payment, and check the basket total to make sure the reduction has been taken off. Read the terms of the code, since it may need a minimum spend or apply only to certain brands or categories, and it cannot usually be used on an order that has already been placed.
How to save at Toolstation
Using a Toolstation voucher code at the checkout is the simplest way to cut the cost of an order, and the deals section is worth checking before you buy power tools or plumbing supplies. Next business day delivery is free once the order passes £40, so grouping materials for a job into one basket avoids the charge. Click and collect from a branch also skips delivery costs, and Toolstation Club and trade accounts are worth a look if you buy often.
Payment methods
Toolstation accepts the following payment methods:
- Debit and credit cards
- PayPal Credit
- PayPal Pay in 3
Delivery
Next business day delivery costs £5 on orders under £40 and is free above that when you order by 9pm Monday to Thursday, arriving before 6pm. Pre-12 next day delivery costs £10. Weekend delivery is £10 under £40, £5 from £40 to £75 and free over £75. Remote areas take 2-4 days, and deliveries need a signature.
Returns and cancellation rights
You can return items within 30 days of receiving an online order, or of buying in a branch. Products must be unused and in their original packaging, and any branch will accept them. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items are collected free of charge, while a collection for something you no longer want costs £9.
More about Toolstation
Toolstation was founded in 2003 and is registered in England under company number 04372131. Its registered office is in Northampton, and a head office is also listed in Bridgwater. The business sells to both trade customers and DIY shoppers, combining a website and app with a network of branches across the UK. Branches handle click and collect orders and take returns, so online and in-store shopping work together. Alongside major power tool brands it carries own-brand ranges, and it runs Toolstation Club and trade accounts for regular buyers.
