Tredz - frequently asked questions
Here we answer the questions people ask most often about Tredz - from voucher codes to collection points, bike finance and insurance.
How do I use a Tredz voucher code?
Put your bike or parts in the basket and go to the checkout. Enter the voucher code in the code field before paying, then check that the discount has come off the order total.
Can I collect a Tredz order instead of having it delivered?
Yes. You can use click and collect at Halfords locations, pick up an order from the Tredz shops in Swansea and Cardiff, or have it sent to an InPost locker.
Can I spread the cost of a bike from Tredz?
Tredz offers bike finance on orders over £99, so a more expensive bike can be paid for over time. Read the finance terms carefully before you apply.
Does Tredz offer bike insurance?
Yes. Tredz offers optional bike insurance, which can be worth considering for a high-value road, mountain or electric bike that you ride and park often.
Tips for using a Tredz voucher code
Enter your Tredz voucher code at the checkout before you confirm payment, and look at the order summary to make sure the reduction has been applied. Check the terms first, because a code may only cover certain brands or product types, such as accessories rather than complete bikes, or may need a minimum spend.
How to save at Tredz
A Tredz voucher code is the quickest way to take money off an order. If you have seen the same item for less elsewhere, the price match guarantee is worth checking before you buy. Buying a bike through the Cycle to Work scheme can bring the cost down if your employer takes part, and standard delivery is free once your order passes £50.
Delivery
Standard delivery to the UK mainland is sent with DHL on a 48-hour service, costing £2.95 on orders under £50 and nothing above that. Priority next-day delivery costs £6.99 when you order before 3pm, but it does not cover bikes. Bikes and large items sent to the Highlands, islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight or the Channel Islands cost £20.
Returns and cancellation rights
You can return an order within 90 days of receiving it, provided it is unused and still in its original packaging. Fill in a returns form first. Sending back accessories costs £3 through Royal Mail, InPost or Asda toyou, while large items go by courier for £20 and bikes by courier for £35. Your refund is issued once the returned item has been inspected.
More about Tredz
Tredz is run by Performance Cycling Limited and is based in Swansea. The business grew out of a cycle shop that opened in the 1980s, and the Tredz website followed in 2006. Today it sells online across the UK and runs shops in Swansea and Cardiff, where online orders can also be collected. The range spans road, mountain and gravel bikes as well as electric models, plus parts, clothing from brands such as Fox, and bike computers from Wahoo and Garmin. There is a dedicated section for women's cycling, and buyers can also choose bike finance, optional insurance or the Cycle to Work scheme.
